Job Summary
Districtwide Secondary School Based Instructional Coach provides ongoing support to classroom teachers in literacy, numeracy, and writing; collaborates with school administrators to establish and monitor high standards of excellence; analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to drive goals and decision-making; assists in collecting and reporting data to evaluate instructional programs; uses the district PLC planning process to develop and deliver Professional Learning opportunities; coaches and models high-yield instructional strategies, supports a positive climate for student success, and participates in district and school improvement efforts. Requires Master’s Degree and Kentucky teaching certification; eligible for Kentucky Supervisor of Instruction Certification or equivalent. Strong knowledge of literacy and numeracy, experience facilitating PLCs, and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders are requested; duties include data-driven decision making, professional learning, and ongoing support to teachers to meet district curricular goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (required)
- Kentucky Teaching Certification (required-must hold or be eligible for KY certification)
- Kentucky Supervisor of Instruction Certification or Hold (or be eligible for) a consultant endorsement
