Job Summary

MTSS Specialist to support the implementation of MTSS procedures within Fayette County Public Schools. Responsibilities include providing training, consultation, and support to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams; observing and giving feedback; modeling and interpreting data; coordinating MTSS staff development; monitoring fidelity of MTSS implementation across school and district levels; ensuring adherence to district procedures and state/federal regulations; and maintaining effective communication with parents, staff, and district personnel. Requires Master’s degree in Education, School Psychology, or related field, 5 years of teaching experience, advanced MTSS training, and Kentucky Teaching Certification (eligible required). Preferred Kentucky Principal or Supervisor of Instruction Certification; ability to communicate in more than one language at novice level or willingness to learn. Position involves collaboration with district leadership and participation in district committees; 10.5-month salaried calendar with 209 workdays.

Required Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Education, School Psychology, or related field
  • 5 years teaching experience
  • Advanced MTSS training or equivalent experience
  • Experience implementing MTSS
  • Kentucky Teaching Certification (required- must hold or be eligible for KY certification)
  • Kentucky Principal or Supervisor of Instruction Certification (preferred)
