District Wide Lead Nurse

Manage the total school nursing program by coordinating clinical aspects of the comprehensive school health program and leading the Health and Wellness Advisory Committee. Develop program goals based on needs assessments, implement emergency plans linked to local medical services, and oversee the Medicaid Reimbursable Skilled Nursing Program and medication administration. Employ qualified personnel, update clinical policies for immunizations and injury prevention, and provide clinical consultation to staff. Compile statistical reports, evaluate nursing staff, and administer the health service budget while seeking external funding. Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, promote cultural competency, and provide coverage for building nurses as needed.
