Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across CVS pharmacy locations within the district, act as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, supervise and coach pharmacy staff, and support safe, accurate dispensing and patient care. Responsibilities include traveling within the district to fill shifts, overseeing pharmacy workflows and inventory (with emphasis on protecting cold chain), supporting immunizations and clinical services where permissible, resolving insurance and medication issues, and ensuring compliant operations while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach. The role requires the ability to travel within a reasonable radius, regular attendance including nights/weekends, and adherence to federal/state laws and CVS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
