Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist (Part Time) travels within the district to fill pharmacist shifts and support CVS Health pharmacy teams. Responsibilities include covering scheduling gaps under the District Performance Coordinator and Pharmacy Manager, overseeing pharmacy operations and patient care, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assisting with immunizations, coaching technicians and staff on compassionate patient care, managing inventory with an emphasis on cold chain protection, staying current with clinical and professional standards, and supporting pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible (e.g., COVID/Flu testing, Hormonal Contraception prescribing). The role emphasizes travel within the district, maintaining patient safety and high-quality service across multiple retail locations, while fulfilling essential functions and complying with applicable laws and CVS Health policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Required training within designated timeframe
