Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist responsible for filling scheduling gaps across CVS Health districts, supporting pharmacy teams, and overseeing pharmacy operations in stores. Responsibilities include safe dispensing, patient counseling, immunizations, helping patients navigate insurance and medication issues, managing inventory with emphasis on cold chain, serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, coaching staff to deliver compassionate care, and enabling pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible (e.g., testing and prescribing). Requires travel within the district and adherence to federal/state laws and CVS policies to maintain patient safety and an inclusive workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
