Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist (Full Time) travels within the district to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, supports pharmacy teams, oversees pharmacy operations, and serves as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts. Responsibilities include safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, counseling and immunizations, inventory management with emphasis on cold chain, and resolving insurance/medication issues while maintaining patient safety and quality care across CVS Health retail pharmacies. Requires active pharmacist license, ability to travel, strong customer service and teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role emphasizes clinical care support (e.g., testing/prescribing where permissible) and staff coaching to deliver compassionate patient experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends

- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
