Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist (Full Time) provides district-wide coverage to fill pharmacist shifts, oversee pharmacy operations, and support the Pharmacy Manager’s duties. Responsibilities include safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, immunizations, coaching and compassionate care to patients, managing inventory with emphasis on cold chain, ensuring adherence to federal/state laws and CVS Health policies, traveling within the district to support market staffing, and delivering clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible. The role requires active pharmacist license, NPI, and ability to travel; it emphasizes patient experience, collaboration with the healthcare team, and maintaining a safe, inclusive work environment. Anticipated 40 hours per week with opportunities for a supportive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
- Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve a problem
- Problem Resolution: Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
- Physical Demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Occasionally lift of up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs of force
