Job Summary
District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across the district. DSPs oversee safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, coach staff to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, and act as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts. They proactively offer immunizations, manage inventory with emphasis on cold-chain products, ensure adherence to workflow procedures and safety guardrails, and support clinical care efforts such as testing and prescribing services where permissible. The role requires traveling within the district to fill pharmacist shifts, maintain regulatory compliance, and maintain up-to-date clinical and technical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
