Job Summary
District Support Pharmacist responsible for covering pharmacist scheduling gaps across the district, overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing, immunizations, patient counseling, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Will travel within the district to fill shifts, act as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, coach the pharmacy team on compassionate, patient-centered care, manage inventory with emphasis on cold chain products, and support insurance and medication issue resolution while maintaining compliance with laws and CVS policies. The role includes immunization delivery where permissible, clinical care activities (e.g., testing, prescribing services where allowed), and ongoing professional development through required trainings and CMEs. The position requires an active pharmacist license, an active NPI, and eligibility to practice in the store's state, with regular travel as needed and a potential 40-hour work week.
