Job Summary
District SEBH Intervention Specialist provides districtwide leadership, coaching, and expertise to implement evidence-based behavioral and social-emotional interventions across all schools, focusing on Tier 3 MTSS, BIP fidelity, and specialized SEL programming for students with intensive behavioral needs. Responsibilities include guiding Tier 3 SEBH systems, aligning MTSS/PBIS with universal and targeted supports, analyzing behavior data for decision-making, conducting FBAs, developing and coaching BIPs, delivering SEL programming (AIM, ACT, DBT-informed approaches), coaching staff and administrators, facilitating professional learning communities, and supporting crisis prevention and post-crisis processes. The role requires collaboration with families and community partners, willingness to obtain Safety Care certification, and travel across district locations. Strong data analysis, communication, and coaching skills, plus commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of school-based experience implementing behavioral interventions
- Strong knowledge of MTSS, PBIS, FBA/BIP
- Experience providing social-emotional instruction using AIM, DBT, ACT, or similar evidence-based programs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum of three years of school-based experience implementing behavioral interventions
- Strong knowledge of MTSS, PBIS, FBA/BIP processes
- Experience providing social-emotional instruction using AIM, DBT, ACT, or similar evidence-based programs
- Expertise in adult learning and coaching practices
- Valid Iowa Driver's License and willingness to travel to multiple district locations
