Job Summary

Directly supervise assigned sales staff for the On-Premise and Key Account teams by training, planning, directing work, appraising performance, and resolving problems. Develops, trains, and directs Sales Representatives to achieve sales goals while conducting strategic negotiations with key accounts and setting up appointments for new and existing accounts. Survey market areas, quotes, and orders to detect business trends, manage selling expenses, and prepare appropriate promotions. Conduct weekly sales meetings to disseminate supplier information and product training, then prepare and maintain required paperwork and reports. Manage selling activities and territories, including staffing positions and covering for Sales Representatives on vacation, while using pallet jacks and hand carts to load and unload products at customer locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must have good driving record
  • Must have proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable)
  • Must have own means of reliable transportation
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be able to work with little direct supervision
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have strong ability to work quickly and accurately while handling competing priorities
  • Must be able to use pallet jacks and hand carts to load and unload products
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10-25 pounds
  • Must be able to occasionally move/push or pull up to 250 pounds
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, lift product floor to waist, shoulder to overhead, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects tools or controls
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to talk or hear
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Must be able to follow any other instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by his or her supervisor
  • Must pass Background/Drug Screen

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • One to two years related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years beverage sales supervision experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
