Job Summary

District Sales Manager responsible for owning and growing a defined sales territory in the wire & cable distribution space. Drive growth by hunting for new opportunities and expanding existing accounts, maintaining 6-10 points of contact per account, and effectively managing the calendar to optimize coverage. Lead the sales process from lead generation to close, collaborating with customers on design projects and technical solutions, leveraging CRM and pipeline management to track opportunities, and converting leads from trade shows, PEC reports, and digital channels into revenue. Build strategic partnerships with manufacturer representatives and cross-functional teams (Sales Development and Operations) to maximize territory performance. Attend local and regional industry shows to maintain market presence, with travel required within the assigned territory (minimum 70%, some overnight). Requires strong technical and sales skills, knowledge of industrial connector products (IDC, ÖC, Epic preferred), experience with CRM, and a proven track record in market research, lead qualification, and closing business. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) plus 2-3 years in distribution/direct selling is preferred.
