Job Summary
District Sales Manager responsible for owning and growing a ~$3M Western Oregon & Western Washington territory for metal roofing and wall panel solutions. Build and nurture partnerships with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards; balance current business with proactive prospecting and new opportunity development; represent and sell metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessories across residential, agricultural, and commercial markets. Lead product training and contractor education, support contractor pull-through initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support. Manage a high volume of customer interactions in a fast-paced environment, travel frequently throughout the territory (up to 60%), and maintain strong follow-up with customers. Requires 3–5+ years of sales experience (building materials/related industries preferred), a Bachelor’s degree preferred, valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5+ years of sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Experience with building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or adjacent industries preferred
- Experience with estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles valued
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn and adapt to multiple systems and technologies
