Job Summary
Own the complete district sales cycle for Tutor, from identifying opportunities through executive engagement, RFPs, procurement, and signed contracts. Build and continuously improve the district sales playbook, including ICP, positioning, and approaches to navigating district buying processes. Determine which districts and segments to prioritize, develop a qualified measurable pipeline, and deepen relationships with district decision-makers. Bring high-quality market insight to shape product decisions and establish the systems needed to run the business effectively. This hands-on builder and seller role begins with minimal revenue, aiming to scale to millions in annual revenue while leveraging ClassDojo's existing network across U.S. schools.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated track record of successfully selling tutoring services to U.S. school districts at scale
- personally won competitive district business totaling seven figures in annual revenue
- meaningful existing relationships with senior decision-makers across U.S. school districts
- deeply understand how districts purchase tutoring services, including stakeholder dynamics, budgeting, RFPs, procurement, competition, and contracting
- built a sales motion in an ambiguous or early-stage environment rather than only operating within a mature sales organization
- communicate clearly, manage complex work reliably, and influence cross-functional partners without relying on formal authority
- highly accountable for measurable outcomes and comfortable changing your approach when the evidence says you should
- willing to have significant hours overlap with one of the Americas time zones
