Job Summary

The Pool Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and efficient operation of pools and related equipment at Family Center locations. Responsibilities include routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of pool systems, ensuring cleanliness and safety of the pool areas, testing and balancing pool water chemistry, performing cleaning tasks, and managing supply needs. This role also involves collaboration with Facilities team management to address maintenance requirements, adhering to safety procedures, and maintaining documentation in compliance with health standards. The position requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of experience in pool maintenance, and readiness to complete safety certifications within 30 days of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in maintaining commercial swimming pools, including knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and cleaning techniques required

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or working within a community-based organization

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete successful background screening, which includes criminal and employment verification
