Job Summary
District Planning Senior Specialist responsible for leading long-term grid import planning analyses, transmission interconnection assessments, and large design projects from inception through construction, including developing distribution facility plans, performing power-flow studies, and producing economic analyses to inform short- and long-term distribution system plans. Role requires senior-level oversight, collaboration across teams, field inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, and ensuring reliability targets are met. Strong communication, project management, and mentorship abilities are needed, with experience in engineering principles, construction standards, GIS/drafting systems, and stakeholder coordination. Hybrid work with potential travel up to 25%, and required residency in California. Primary work location Monrovia Service Center with possible extended time at alternate locations. Led by safety, regulatory compliance, and protection of customer data and assets; continues to support customer needs and energy reliability in Southern California Edison’s service territory.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Design, Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Line Construction, or Engineering discipline.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
