DISTRICT MEDIA SPECIALIST

Guide students in selecting books and materials for personal and curricular purposes while teaching resourcefulness in media center use. Cooperatively plan the media center schedule with teachers and the principal, assisting with special projects that extend into the classroom. Encourage reading and research habits for lifelong learning and establish diverse interests through media center facilities. Provide an educational environment fostering aesthetic appreciation of the arts and develop the operational budget for the media center. This role supports varied learning needs across all ages and levels within the district's library/media center.
