Job Summary
Champion a safety-first culture by conducting regular field visits and ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across the Invermere, Cranbrook, Castlegar, and Golden districts. Oversee daily delivery operations, enforce route schedules, manage district-level budgets, and control costs including overtime and fleet utilization. Lead and mentor frontline teams of drivers, technicians, and plant staff while collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, HR, and Finance to resolve customer issues and drive performance. Monitor KPIs related to delivery, service, and resource productivity, ensuring compliance with Department of Transport regulations and fleet maintenance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in operations
- Proven experience managing frontline teams including drivers, technicians and service specialists within a unionized environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Effective communicator with experience in cross-functional collaboration across departments like HR, Finance, Logistics and Sales
- Experience managing district-level budgets, controlling expenses
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, operations management or related field
