Job Summary
District Manager at Public Storage responsible for leading and developing an engaged team across a district of multi-unit locations, driving operational excellence and customer experience. Manages recruitment, coaching, and sales strategies; oversees asset maintenance, vendor management, delinquent tenant processes, and monthly property audits to ensure safety and high standards. Utilizes analytics to identify trends, grow the business, communicate with customers and teammates, and align with company strategies. Includes opportunities for internal promotion, stock program participation, comprehensive benefits, and required weekend work with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership in building, developing and retaining high-performing teams of non-exempt employees in a retail, service, hospitality or related industry.
- Experience managing operational audits and payroll budgets.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Weekend availability by telephone. 6 work weekends (Saturday or Sunday) per year required during peak season
- Occasional travel required to other markets for support
- Relocation: future relocation ability is very important for growth.
