Job Summary
Analyze financial results to ensure maximum profits while balancing member and team satisfaction, and manage budgets to outperform key performance indicators and P&L expectations. Conduct routine club visits to evaluate performance, complete standardized assessments, and review checklists to uphold brand standards. Identify and execute hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance management actions to foster a professional team environment. Partner with Club Managers and Field Marketing to develop lead generation strategies, drive monthly revenue, and sustain long-term growth. Travel to all clubs in the district, spending approximately 80% of work time on-site, with occasional overnight stays required. Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local sanitary and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in the market you are managing
- Possess a clean driving record
- You understand working weekend shifts is expected at times depending on staffing, performance, and other business needs
- At least 3 years of experience serving in a general manager role in a multi-unit retail environment with progressively responsible retail experience
- Must possess excellent business acumen, forecasting, strategic ability and management skills
- Must have a proven track record of achieving business results
- Must have demonstrated success providing 5-star customer service
- Proficient in implementing and enforcing policies & procedures
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in marketing, sales, management or a similar discipline from a four-year university or equivalent experience
- A proven track record of strong performance in driving performance and key field operations metrics
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications
- Demonstrated experience in successful rollout and implementation of area-wide retail location presentations, sales, operating discipline, and communications initiatives
- Ability to manage the overall operations of multiple retail locations independently
- Experience analyzing financial reports in a complex, fast-paced multi-unit environment
- Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
