Job Summary
Maximize store sales through exceptional customer service, merchandising, and store image management. Recap promotional activity, report business trends, and collaborate with marketing to ensure timely promotion execution. Manage controllable costs by controlling merchandise variation, salaries, and overtime while enforcing safety practices and restricted sales policies. Forecast requirements, prepare annual budgets, and analyze variances to achieve financial objectives. Provide leadership to store managers, assist in recruiting and orientation, and coach employees on performance and development. Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations while maintaining a secure working environment. This role requires 50% travel by car and involves occasional lifting up to 60 pounds. Circle K operates 17,300 stores globally with a mission to make people's lives easier.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Three to five years of retail business experience
- Minimum of two years of management responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Good communication skills
- Self-directed
- Self-motivated
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
- Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools and materials
- Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the SM job description
- Current valid driver's license
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from the ground to overhead
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds from the ground to waist
- Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
- Ability to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials, place and/or replace signage
- 50% travel by car
Desired Qualifications

- Expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
