Job Summary
Manage and direct store operations in accordance with policies, procedures, and laws while completing a 15-week training curriculum. Ensure store performance meets targets in sales, profit, donations, production, and productivity by analyzing key metrics and taking appropriate action. Lead, direct, and supervise the management team and entire staff through planning staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and training team members. Audit merchandise and prices, plan seasonal back stock and merchandising programs, and oversee the recycling program to reduce landfill impact. Create Store Operating Plans to drive budget adherence and optimize results. Deliver a positive customer and donor experience by setting examples and coaching service expectations. Protect company assets by promoting loss prevention awareness and maintaining a safe work environment through consistent follow-up. Adjust work schedules to business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Multi-unit experience
- High School diploma
- Consistent track record of delivering top-tier financial results
- High level of energy, commitment and passion about the business
- Natural problem solver with strong analytical skills and sound judgment
- Strong budget management and aptitude for working with numbers
- Superior organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to frequently lift and carry products weighing less than 5 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push and pull racks/carts weighing 50 to 250 pounds
- Dexterity for complex hand-eye tasks including keyboarding and merchandise ticketing
- Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, and occasionally kneel
- Ability to read written and electronic documents and product labels
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate with management, team members, and customers
- Ability to navigate work environments with large industrial machinery, heavy equipment, elevated surfaces, and moving forklifts
- Ability to adjust work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to safely navigate work environments with hazardous machinery, solvents, radiation, dust, and temperature fluctuations
