District Manager in Training

District Manager in Training at Dollar Tree oversees district operations with on-the-job training to learn how to manage multiple stores in partnership with Store Managers. Responsibilities include developing store leaders to deliver exceptional customer experiences, analyzing district sales and trends to drive sales, maintaining inventory mix and merchandise presentation, partnering with store managers to recruit and train new associates, fostering leadership development, managing payroll hours, ensuring cash control and regular store audits, monitoring inventory shrinkage, delivering exceptional customer service and creating safe, professional, and respectful store environments, building meaningful relationships with associates and communities, and traveling up to 50% with occasional overnight stays to oversee district operations across the area. Required qualifications include leadership and supervisory experience, merchandising experience, recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks. Multi-unit retail management experience is preferred; a quarterly bonus and a broad benefits package are offered.
