Job Summary

Coordinate commercial activity within assigned in-field teams to achieve sales targets and maximize market dynamics across Grand Rapids, Petoskey, Traverse City, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Munster, Lafayette, and Mishawaka. Develop and monitor the District Sales Plan while coaching, mentoring, and holding direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations. Present market and franchise perspectives to internal partners during business planning, ensuring adherence to AbbVie Ways of Working and HCIR credentialing requirements. Drive top- and bottom-line results through effective team engagement and performance management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field
  • Relevant and equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience
  • External management experience can be considered
  • Currently meeting performance expectations

  • Excellent judgment and decision making skills
  • Ability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas

  • Satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory
  • Be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials
  • Background checks

  • Proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases
  • Fingerprinting
  • Specific licenses required by individual state or cities
  • Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
  • Meet safe driving requirements
