Job Summary
District Manager responsible for growing the HERITA USA wine portfolio in the Broward/Palm Beach territory; develops relationships in the market across the three-tier system, trains distributor personnel, directly sells and calls on accounts in the trade, represents the portfolio region, and drives sales from trade accounts through to the consumer with education, market activity, and relationships. Responsibilities include brand/wine presentations at GSMs, event activations for relationship development and brand education, assisting the Area Manager with quarterly programming and business reviews, collaborating with distributor personnel to achieve sales goals, monitoring inventory to support sales, making sales calls to trade accounts (primarily on-premise), building and maintaining relationships across the three-tier network, identifying new account opportunities, hosting consumer-facing events, working with distributor salespeople, and operating independently in the market. Requirements include wine industry experience (preferred 5 years with supplier/distributor), passion and knowledge of wine (Italian wines preferred), willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, residency within the designated territory, ability to travel within the territory, valid driving record, ability to lift a case of wine (35 lbs), and willingness/ability to travel to Italy and to corporate headquarters annually.
