Job Summary
District Float Nurse for Southbridge Public Schools responsible for health office operations, immunization surveillance, and school health services; develops individualized health care plans, administers med interventions and first aid, and collaborates with administrators, guidance, and community providers to promote a healthful school environment.
Required Qualifications
- RN/LPN and must hold a minimum of LPN certificate.
- Must have a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts (M.G.L. c. 71, s. 53).
- Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a college or university program in nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing. (unless grand fathered by D.O.E.).
- Meet the requirements for licensure as developed by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
- Maintain certification in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED training from a recognized provider (i.e. American Red Cross, American Heart) and obtain a certification in First Aid.
