Job Summary
Develop and evaluate programs and procedures for physical and occupational therapy and assessment while reviewing and adjusting therapy goals for eligible individuals. Supervise assigned staff and coordinate activities for the physical and occupational therapy program. Research data on program effectiveness, prepare written evaluations, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Operate therapeutic and office equipment, train others in their use, and manage the physical and occupational budget. Communicate with agencies, schools, and vendors to coordinate services and referrals. Remain current on technological advances through seminars and provide in-service training to staff. Work up to 19.5 hours per week as an exempt position under the Chief of Exceptional Child Education.
Required Qualifications
- graduation from an accredited program in physical or occupational therapy
- two years experience working in pediatric, physical or occupational therapy
- Valid Occupational license issued by the State of Kentucky
