Job Summary
Legal support to prosecutors in the Gaston County Office of the District Attorney. Duties include answering phones, assisting the public, typing correspondence, preparing legal documents, preparing files, assisting victims and witnesses in understanding and preparing for court, gathering information to aid in prosecution, and other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of court system and procedures, legal terminology, and community resources for referrals; skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), typing 35-40 wpm, and multi-line telephone handling. Ability to interview victims and witnesses, coordinate daily operations of the victim and witness program, manage court appearances, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
