Job Summary
Perform logistics functions by replenishing assigned nursing units and patient care areas daily. Stock unit supply and equipment storage areas, maintain cleanliness, and inspect equipment using internal applications. Check expiration dates on supplies, remove affected products, and assist vendor drivers with loading and unloading carts. Provide feedback to the Inventory Specialist regarding par level adjustments and perform cart maintenance tasks like replacing labels and reorganizing bins. Complete required documentation including assignment sheets, checklists, and time sheets while reporting discrepancies such as stockouts to leadership. Receive and deliver bulk medications from vendors to pharmacies or nursing units, ensuring compliance with hospital and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Able to communicate in English
- Knowledge of MicroSoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to learn internal systems/programs such as PeopleSoft/Workday and Wits System
- Must possess a positive attitude and ability to use sound reasoning in isolating a problem and reach a sound conclusion
- Standing/walking most of the 8-10 hours shift
- Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. under ideal safe lifting conditions as specified by NIOSH lifting equations
- Pushing/pulling force. 33 lbs. initial force 13 lbs. sustained force
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Keyboarding skills or experience with hand held computer technology preferred
- 2 years of experience preferred
