Distribution Team Leader

Job Summary
Manage distribution center operations by overseeing receiving, inventory control, material handling, order picking, and outbound logistics. Lead a team of personnel in a fast-paced environment, providing visible leadership to maintain a motivated workforce while identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities. Identify, coach, and develop team members, participate in hiring and training, and allocate resources to meet departmental objectives. Contribute to cross-functional business teams focused on improving metrics and participate in daily start-up meetings. Ensure timely and accurate shipping through resourceful decision-making and independent project management.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and electronically
- Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, stand/bend/stoop for extended periods of time
- Must have knowledge of distribution processes, inventory control, lean manufacturing/continuous Improvement concepts & ERP/WMS systems
- Must be able to lift documents/work materials up to 70 pounds in weight
- Must be able to operate all material handling equipment

- Leadership experience preferred: experience having led teams or projects
