Distribution Supervisor, 3rd shift

Job Summary
Supervise daily operational activities including picking, loading, receiving, unloading, and warehousing while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies such as SQF and FSMA. Manage drop trailer yard accuracy, oversee inbound and outbound shipment scheduling, and conduct monthly inspections for housekeeping and sanitation standards. Direct warehouse personnel through selection, training, and appraisal to maximize labor efficiency and order accuracy, while coordinating with Sales Coordinators to resolve customer complaints. Rearrange stock layouts to optimize product flow and assist in implementing safety programs to reduce accidents. Work a third shift of 8-12 hours onsite in Ontario, with occasional travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Logistics, Logistics and Transportation or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of experience in Logistics, Logistics and Transportation
- Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word, JDE
- Hands on working knowledge of distribution, warehousing and transportation disciplines
- Efficient planning and organization skills
- Fosters cooperation with and understanding of employees
- Effective at multitasking and prioritizing
- Travel may be required
- Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements
- Willing and able to work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity
- Exposure to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens)
- Required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet
- Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more with assistance

- Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred
