Distribution Protection and Control Engineer III

Job Summary
Conduct protection studies including model development, short circuit studies, and equipment duty analysis. Prepare relay setting files for SEL, GE, and S&C protective relays while interpreting electrical drawings and relay logic schematics. Perform fault event analysis for distribution substations and feeders, then work closely with utility clients daily to review design packages. Execute complex tasks according to EPE procedures and manage multiple projects to meet quality and budget objectives. This role supports an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of experience
- Experience running distribution protection coordination studies for utilities using CYME and CYME TCC
- Experience in preparing relay setting files for SEL-351, SEL-651R relay and S&C TripSavers
- Familiar with SEL Quickset
