Distribution Planning Manager

Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of Distribution Planners by conducting performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and supporting employee development plans. Monitor team performance through KPIs and operational metrics, identify root causes of gaps, and drive accountability via continuous improvement initiatives. Act as the primary liaison between the team and management, translating organizational objectives into clear direction while representing Distribution Planning in cross-functional meetings. Collaborate closely with Transportation and other departments to support business goals, oversee departmental reporting tools, and ensure accuracy of planning analyses. Manage payroll validation and support recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in distribution planning, supply chain, or inventory management
- at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong analytical mindset with experience tracking KPIs, identifying trends, and translating data into actionable decisions
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization within a supply chain or distribution context
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate strategic objectives into clear team direction
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships with Transportation, Operations, and other departments
- Bilingualism (French/English)
