Job Summary
Overhead 2nd Class Lineman performs electrical construction and maintenance of overhead distribution lines, transformers, meters, substations, and related equipment. Responsible for climbing wood poles, ladders, and towers, installing/removing conductors, poles and supports, mechanical jumpers, transformers, regulators, switchgear, and troubleshooting primary/secondary systems. Requires working from a bucket and adhering to safety rules, understanding job prints, and contributing to pre-job briefings. Travel to different locations and operate in varied outdoor conditions in a safety-sensitive environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Communicate in English
- Ability to travel and work for extended periods in different locations
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record
