Distribution Overhead 3rd Class Lineman

Job Summary
Entry-level Overhead 3rd Class Lineman responsible for construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution lines, transformers, meters, and related equipment. Primary duties include climbing wood poles, assisting in new construction or maintenance of energized/de-energized lines, supporting installation or removal of conductors and equipment (conductors, capacitors, regulators, transformers, transformers banks, lighting arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear), framing/installing/removing wood, steel, or concrete poles, and maintaining company vehicles and PPE. Must adhere to safety rules, participate in pre-job briefing, and be able to work on job sites in outside conditions; requires flexibility to travel. Work schedule is four 10-hour days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record
- Communicate in English, both orally and written
- Ability to travel and work for extended periods in different locations
- This is a safety sensitive position; drug testing and background checks will apply
