Job Summary
Support the Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC) 24/7 watch schedule with a three-day-on rotation, providing real-time operational reporting and synchronizing global force deployment, redeployment, and sustainment activities. Coordinate end-to-end distribution elements to ensure effective movement of forces and equipment, while applying simulation tools to optimize planning in dynamic environments. Identify movement constraints, including CBRN contamination and infrastructure restrictions, and communicate mitigation recommendations to preserve operational timelines. Collaborate with USTRANSCOM, Service commands, and partner organizations to validate Unit Line Numbers, develop TPFDDs, and manage In-Transit Visibility capabilities for real-time tracking of personnel and cargo. Continuously refine deployment plans to adapt to evolving mission requirements and force flow changes, ensuring timely delivery to designated points of need.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to support a rotating 24/7 Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC) watch schedule operating on a three-day-on rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of joint deployment and distribution operations, force flow management, movement control, and sustainment transportation principles.
- Experience supporting deployment planning and execution using the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD), or similar joint planning systems.
- Working knowledge of In-Transit Visibility (ITV), the Defense Transportation System (DTS), and strategic and theater transportation capabilities.
- Ability to analyze transportation feasibility, operational constraints, and logistics data to develop practical recommendations supporting mission execution.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Combatant Commands, Service component commands, USTRANSCOM, joint staff organizations, and other mission partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare operational reports, briefings, and recommendations for leadership.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable logistics planning and reporting systems.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, Military Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting a Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC), Plans and Deployment Distribution Operations Center (PDDOC), Combatant Command, Joint Task Force, or comparable 24/7 operations center.
- Experience coordinating deployment and distribution activities with USTRANSCOM, Service components, and strategic or theater lift providers.
- Experience developing, validating, analyzing, or executing TPFDDs and associated force flow data.
- Familiarity with Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP), Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), and deployment planning processes.
- Experience supporting multinational operations, partner capacity building, or air mobility planning.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense deployment, distribution, and transportation doctrine and applicable joint logistics systems.
