Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair distribution piping, manholes, ducting, reducing stations, valves, and expansion joints; identify and repair leaks or faulty equipment in the distribution system; inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment used in steam mains repair; install new or replace existing steam and chilled water services; perform welding, cutting, brazing, and pipefitting tasks; ensure compliance with city/state permits and safety regulations; qualify as LOTO Authority and as a competent person for erecting scaffolds, barricades, platforms, and shoring; assist in evaluating readiness and quality of the distribution system and manage inventory for parts; operate dump trucks, backhoes, jackhammers, and cut saws; coordinate PA One calls and utilize CMMS and Work Order processes.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience and familiarity in welding, pipe fitting, masonry fundamentals, and heavy equipment operations
- Familiarity in steam and chilled water distribution systems including piping, expansion joints, traps, and pressure reducing valve operation
- Valid PA driver’s license
