Job Summary
The Distribution Logistics Coordinator ensures the accurate and efficient movement of materials and products by coordinating shipping processes, verifying order contents, and maintaining organized warehouse operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy materials in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the construction, facilities, or building materials industry
- Working knowledge of doors, windows, glass, and commercial hardware
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong Negotiation skills in order to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software and WMS systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Allegion, Assa Abloy, Hagar, Special lite, Products
- Experience with third-party facilities platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field
