Job Summary
Coordinate warehouse and shipping department activities to drive efficient operations on assigned shifts, addressing product and employee concerns while resolving issues. Lead a team of members, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality standards. Oversee inventory accuracy to prevent under- or over-shipments and minimize errors. Perform employing training for new and current employees, document progression, and monitor work schedules to backfill vacancies. Execute required SAP transactions, maintain time and shipping records, prepare reports, and ensure work areas remain clean and organized. Collaborate cross-functionally to minimize operational disruption and recommend improvements to reduce costs and drive productivity toward Sales to Service Goals. Perform back-up Shipping Clerk and Distribution Coordinator responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures
- Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies
- Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks)
- Physical abilities includes the ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time in a manufacturing facility
- Environment includes, wet, cold, hot, humid, chemicals, high noise – controlled at TWA of 85dB, wear approved personal protective equipment
- Ability to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications
- SAP a plus
