Job Summary
Cloud Architect for AWS-based platform in Foundation Platform Team. Design, implement and evolve cloud platform strategy to provide reliable, efficient, and cost-effective infrastructure based on AWS best practices. Responsibilities include designing scalable, robust, and cost-efficient AWS solutions aligned with the Well-Architected Framework; advancing platform strategy to support product-team needs; building and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform CDK; ensuring good GitOps and CI/CD practices; designing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters for multi-tenant environments; establishing monitoring, logging, and observability; ensuring high availability and efficient resource usage; collaborating closely with product teams to understand needs and deliver tailored cloud solutions; serving as a technical sparring partner and sharing best practices within cloud and DevOps. Fluent Norwegian and English required; hybrid work model in Oslo, Norway.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services and architecture
- Knowledge of Kubernetes – operation, optimization and security
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code
- Strong understanding of DevOps and platform work, CI/CD and automation
- Experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3) and container technologies (EKS, ECS)
- Experience with monitoring and insights on cloud platforms (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Competence in networking, security, database systems and scripting (Python, Bash or TypeScript)
- Higher education in IT
- Fluent in Norwegian and English (spoken and written)
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional and CKAs/CKAD are a plus
- Experience with tools like ArgoCD and Helm
- Knowledge of GDPR and NIS2
