Job Summary
Unload, stack, and store supply inventories, track material stock levels, and empty the box room trash daily. Operate a forklift to stack boxes on pallets by product code and load the recycling truck. Rotate throughout the day to the box line as needed while maintaining a clean work area. Perform all duties within safety guidelines and physical requirements, including continuous standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. This 1st shift role at Tyson Foods in Waverly, NE, includes occasional weekend work and requires six months of documented forklift experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to read labels, order summaries and communicate via radio
- Must have six months of forklift experience documented in the application
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift continuously up to 50 lbs stacking pallets
- Must be able to stand/walk continuously up to 8 hours
- Must be willing and able to work in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 40° F)
- Must be willing and able to work Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work
- Must be willing and able to work 1st Shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm)
- Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift (4:30 pm – 1:00 am)
- Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Must be able to unload, stack, and/or store and track inventories of supplies
- Must be able to empty trash from box room daily
- Must be able to load cardboard recycling truck with boxes and combos
- Must be able to rotate throughout the day to the box line as needed
- Must be able to keep the area clean
- Must be able to operate and obtain a forklift license
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months' production experience preferred
- Previously worked for Tyson Foods
