Distribution Engineer II – Electric Utilities

Job Summary
Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings, and bills of materials for utility distribution projects involving new and existing infrastructure. Interpret and analyze customer electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagrams, and load letters while researching engineering issues and evaluating alternatives. Collaborate with construction crews, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects complete accurately and on schedule. Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of industry experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS Electrical Engineering degree
- 4+ years of prior industry experience
- Proficient in the use of all software needed to produce quality electrical design drawings such as AutoCAD, TED, Microsoft Office programs
- Must be able to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters
- Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Possess a valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred
