Job Summary
Prepare and review construction sketches, work packages, pole loading analyses, and voltage drop calculations for overhead and underground distribution facilities. Lead project teams through preliminary scoping, system modifications, and complex design tasks while conducting client communications when necessary. Perform field work and support maintenance, recapitalization, and construction activities as required. This role operates in a hybrid environment with three days in the office and two days remote. Candidates must hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with experience in electric utility distribution and proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman. The position is open to those who can solve problems using modern tools and automation to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.
Required Qualifications

- This position requires a degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Two or more years of experience with electric utility distribution or relevant experience to be able to review work by others.
- Knowledgeable in physical distribution design methods and their application.
- Knowledgeable in applicable codes, standards, and distribution software programs including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, etc.
- Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
- Experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38 kV).
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to lead a project team.
- This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of spending three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

- Programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate calculations, design checks, reporting, or data transformation is valued but not required.
