Job Summary

Receive, verify, and process incoming and outgoing shipments by checking quantities, part numbers, lot and serial numbers against documentation, and recording transactions in the inventory management system. Pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders with appropriate packaging, correct labeling, and complete shipping documentation. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, location management, and prompt reporting of discrepancies, paying close attention to lot traceability and expiry dates. Support quality and regulatory compliance by following documented procedures, maintaining clean storage areas, operating material handling equipment safely, and handling returns and non-conforming materials by segregation and routing to quality for disposition. Assist with kitting and assembly of product sets where required. This onsite contract engagement in Goleta, California runs approximately five months with an hourly rate of $18.42 to $20.42.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior warehouse, distribution, or inventory experience in a structured operating environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accurate recordkeeping
  • Ability to follow written procedures exactly
  • Basic computer literacy including inventory or warehouse management system data entry
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
  • Onsite availability in Goleta, California
  • Consistent attendance throughout the engagement
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated distribution environment
  • Familiarity with lot traceability
  • Familiarity with controlled documentation
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Familiarity with GMP or ISO 13485 requirements
  • Exposure to shipping compliance for regulated or temperature-sensitive product
  • Familiarity with FIFO and FEFO stock rotation practice
  • Experience handling product with storage temperature or humidity requirements
  • Exposure to internal or third-party audits
  • Experience with cycle count programs
  • Background supporting a distribution operation through a system implementation or process change
