Job Summary
Supervise and perform aspects of the Distribution Center department, including delivery scheduling, inbound and outbound processes, and safety requirements. Lead a small team focused on a limited task, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment while maintaining accurate inventory. Address safety concerns immediately and ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Oversee department functions in the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor. Complete jobs correctly, assign tasks effectively, and prioritize requirements to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of distribution center or warehouse experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
- Ability to resolve complex issues and problems
- Ability to lead and train
- Ability to safely operate various types of material handling equipment
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51%
- Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Up to 50 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Constantly – at least 51%
- Exposed to electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Travels to offsite locations - Occasionally – up to 20%
Desired Qualifications
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
- High School or GED - Preferred
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of subject manner
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks
