Job Summary
Operate an efficient, productive, and safe distribution center by managing daily activity, including planning, flow, and resource allocation. Review orders and direct associates while spending a minimum of 90% of the shift on the floor to maintain a motivated workforce. Build effective relationships with business partners, counterparts, peers, management, union, human resources, loss prevention, and transportation. Ensure the area meets all requirements for safety and housekeeping while reviewing practices, methods, and processes to drive constant improvement. Make recommendations on opportunities to improve operations and ensure quality and service remain at a high level.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates
- 4-6 years of experience
- High School graduate
- College preferred or equivalent work experience
- Communication skills
- Coaching skills
- Development skills
- Strong math skills
- PC skills
- Proven ability to motivate teams
- Ability to manage conflict
- Ability to provide feedback
- Ability to develop other leaders
- Must be available to support multiple shifts
