Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all distribution center activities, including inbound/outbound operations, receiving, shipping, picking, and packing. Direct work assignments, conduct employee interviews and training, and lead performance reviews to maintain safety, inventory accuracy, and productivity KPIs. Operate material handling equipment safely while ensuring efficient use of Workforce Management System metrics to optimize warehouse efficiency. Evaluate policies to recommend process improvements and resolve employee issues or complaints. Establish work schedules and complete all necessary records and reports in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Warehouse or Distribution Center experience
- High School or GED
- Certified to operate all material handling equipment: forklift, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack, Electric Reach Truck, and High-Reach Narrow-Aisle
- Ability to perform various tasks on computers, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Distribution Center Management Software (WMS), AS400, or other systems in use at Distribution Centers
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Knowledge and experience in Lean and Process Flow Layout in Distribution Centers
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Constantly – at least 51%
- Travels to offsite locations - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must be able to handle Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
- Must be able to handle Up to 50 pounds - Frequently – 21% to 50%
- Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Constantly – at least 51%
- Exposed to electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - Occasionally – up to 20%
- Must behave consistently with the Company's Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safety
