Job Summary
Supervise warehouse employees by pulling and organizing orders from the warehouse, creating detailed schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, and coordinating manpower to meet changing conditions. Package, label, and ship customer orders via various carriers while maintaining a minimum 99% accuracy rate. Train new staff on equipment and facilities, resolve work problems, and enforce safety regulations in a large, active environment. Manage personnel including hiring, training, performance management, and compensation. Participate in annual physical inventory and assist with inventory control processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 plus years of warehouse and supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees in 1 on 1 and small group
- Good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (JDA, Manhattan, etc)
- Moderate physical effort and use or motor skills requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to regularly stand, walk and sit
- Ability to on occasion lift, lower, carry product up to a max of 10 pounds by hand
- OSHA approved steel-toed safety shoes
