Distribution Center Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Manage vendor management, quality management, and cost management for warehouse and distribution operations in Ota, Tokyo. Track KPIs with vendors to identify and resolve issues, applying Lean methodologies to improve productivity and reduce costs. Support quality process standardization for outsourced partners and execute change management for regulatory and operational updates. Lead business improvement projects involving supplier selection, contract renewals, and order monitoring while ensuring compliance with EHS, SOx, and local regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and maintain operational stability. Requires basic English proficiency and experience in healthcare supply chain or distribution.
Required Qualifications
- English at a basic level required for business
- Healthcare domain business experience (desirable)
- Supply chain department work experience (desirable)
- Logistics and distribution related knowledge
- Understanding of relevant regulations
- Basic knowledge of vendor and supplier management
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Understanding of core systems (ERP) such as SAP and related systems
- Basic knowledge of invoice processing and finance terminology
- Ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders through communication
- Ability to identify problems and implement improvements with appropriate methods
- Ability to continue capability development in supply chain (warehouse and distribution, customer service, demand planning, import customs) and project management areas
